Special Day

Today is a day when I very much thank the Lord for all He has given to me.

On this day 25 years ago Jason came into the big wide world. Little did he know that 25 years down the track he would be spending his birthday with me and peanut.

On Jasons 21st birthday he recieved one of the best gifts he probably could ever ask for. Our nephew Riley Chase was born. These two are almost inseparable and very much alike. If ever something is broken Rileys answer is "Uncle J will fix it".

To both of my special boys I would like to wish you a very special day filled with much love and happiness.
Jason, I pray that God will continue to bless you and us together as a family.

Riley, Uncle J and I send our love, hugs and kisses all the way to you over in Brisbane. We hope you have a really fantastic day and will see you when you get back.

You don't know what you've got till it's gone.

Its been almost four years since I first met Brian & Cara. They moved here from Canada at the end of 2006 and left shortly after Jason & I got married. In that time we shared alot of happy times and good memories.

At the moment they are currently back in "OZ" for Bruce and Clare's wedding.

We have just come back from a holiday in Coral Bay and Brian & Cara were there as well.

I had the pleasure of meeting Hailey (2). She is absolutely adorable and has the sweetest voice you'll ever hear. Her jokes are hilarious only because she says them.Heres an example.

Hailey "Knock kncok"
Me" Who's there?"
Hailey "Banana"
Me "Banana Who?
Hailey "Banana who."
And then she laughs and giggles, so funny. I will try to catch it on video and put it up. Adorable.

Here are a few pics of the fun times we had in Coral Bay. (mainly of Hailey) but I cant resist a gorgeous face. :)

We're off!

Its that time of year again!
What time of year you may ask ... well I wouldn't want to rub it in too much but,

Every two years we are very privileged to pack our bags, pack our car and head up to the beautiful CORAL BAY.
We will be in this sun ridden, beach bumming town for a whole week! I can feel the relaxing and sun baking happening already.

So here is me saying adios for a little bit.

When I get back you can expect updates on the house as well as some pics from Coral Bay.

Enjoy your long weekend!

God bless.

Love Hayley

Big Bro In law

This past week we had a visit from Owen. He managed to squeeze a little visit to our house on Tuesday night and then we all caught up for dinner on Wednesday night at mum & dads.

It was great to see the O-Man again. It kinda felt like he hasn't been gone which was nice. But with the realization that he was here also came the knock on the head that one didn't particularly need reminding of. Bronya, Ella & Sami WEREN'T.

He told us how much the girls have grown, how much Sami now says, how hot it is there, how Bron was settling in etc etc. Of course it is GREAT to hear all this but it is also a little bit sad and does bring a tear to my eye because I start to think about how much I miss them all.

I did laugh when dad prayed for Peanut and after prayer the first thing Owen says is "Ellas allergic to your baby" :D Only Owen! :) I am also glad that Owen can see a funny side to Princess' allergies because I know at times it can be tough.

I pray that God will bless Owen on his flight(s) back "home" that he may have a safe and enjoyable trip.

To Bron, Ella & Sami (mainly Bron) I pray that God will continue to be with you while you are adventuring this new path. I also know that this past week must have been hard knowing that Owen was here with everyone and you were still there wishing to be "here".  Thank you so much for all the little surprises you sent along with him.

So this is me, saying HI, saying I miss you, saying God bless you and above all saying I love you all very muchly!

Hailz xoxo

Little Miracle ... Big Miracle

Well,

First things first,

Jason & I have been married for just over three years.
In his sincere wisdom the Lord has withheld children from us for a period of time,
but we would like to announce a big miracle in our lives,

We have been blessed with a little miracle,
I am currently 12 weeks (3 months) pregnant.
Due in March next year.
All has been going well so far.

I must admit it has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for the past 8 weeks. We found out that I was expecting shortly after we had decided to refocus and finish the house off. As the doctors initial outlook for us was that it was highly improbable that we would conceive naturally. But like he said when we went back, "IMPROBABLE IS NEVER IMPOSSIBLE" God works in wonderful ways.
So naturally when we found out we were extremely excited but still erring on the side of caution. It is hard to explain but when you have been wanting something for so long it is hard to feel to excited because there is always a fear of falling even further if something goes wrong. Thankfully the Lord has blessed the little "peanut" (as Jason says) and myself so far.

So our lives at the moment are all a go.

Like I said before we are currently in the process of finishing the house off. Which has turned to work out perfectly, as the house will be completely finished when peanut arrives. Gods providence is wonderful.
We are getting flooring put down which should be finished today. The carpet goes in next week as do the blinds a short time after that. Then we are putting exposed aggregate (concrete with small rocks in it) as a path around the whole house, then the decking is going to get done along with lining the alfresco and porch and then the big job of reticulation and grass.

So with thankfulness to the Lord and great joy in my heart I must say I am looking forward to the coming months.

I would also like to thank everyone who has wished us well and prayed for us before and continue to pray for us now.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds." Phillipians 4: 6&7  (Watch video here www.wherespooki.wordpress.com)

Look how much you've grown ...

I am a very proud aunty to 5 adorable children whom I love very much.
I was looking through some of my old photos today when I stumbled across some gorgeous little children whom now are so very grown up. A little tear runs from my eye as I clearly remember the events surrounding each photo taken.

With much love AUNTY HAILZ

The cold is not my friend ..

As of late I have two new best friends.

My heat packs and Codral cold & flu.

The flu season has hit us pretty hard this year. It started with Jason having tonsilitus last week, which with some antibiotics has been healed up. But tonsilitus or not he also has a cold which he in turn gave to me. Now I would like to think I am not complaining just expressing a little frustration at having been stuck at home for the past week with a head that feels like a medicine ball a nose that runs like a tap and a body that just wants to sleep while in my mind I know there is so much to do.

Well on Tuesday night we were home delivered a bowl of SCRUMPTIOUS pumpkin soup. My sister (Alyssa) made some pumpkin soup and her lovely husband Murray came and dropped it off. We had it for dinner last night and man it was DELICIOUS. It went down so nice. A hot bowl of soup with some bake at home rolls filled with butter. (so bad for you but I don't care:)

The week has also had its good points. I chatted with Bron, Owen, Ella & Sami twice this week. We have made plans to finish the house of. We started a WASGIJ puzzle. I have payed all the bills. I have completed all the bank recons for tax time and have made an appointment with the accountant. I have renewed all our insurances and ticked a whole pile of other things off the TO DO list.

Hope you all have had a good and blessed week.

Back soon.

Update

Wow it's already been over four weeks since my last blog.

I guess you are probably wondering, what could a person be doing that stops them from blogging for four weeks?

Well actually life has been pretty busy, full of challenges, surprises, adventure and a whole lot of fun and I hope to provide you with a small sample of what life has been like for me in the past four weeks.

I ....

Finished my photoshoot of Alita Contsruction buildings.

Took on a second shooting role for Jack & Wilmas wedding, took on a family photoshoot for the Evans family,

Photoshoot for Ryan & Erica Swarts.

Photoshoot of Erica Grace Steenhof.

Trip to Bali for 10 days with Shan & Colleen, Ray & Estelle & Jono & Cynthia, we had an awesome time!

View from our room in the WHITE ROSE in Legian/Kuta

Cynthia getting her hair wrap. (funny story) we all got matching Ray Ban sunnies but in different colours. we then got matching hairwraps and then got matching Bintang tanks. (was sooo much fun) Felt like we were 13 again! :)

We also got mathcing henna tattoos ( a turtle on our ankles)

Shan and his southern cross tattoo.

Ray looking like he could be "BEACH" mafia. haha!

Estelle waiting to get her "hairwrap"

 Shan and the tatoo man.

You cant leave Bali without a Bintang singlet

The boys. Doing what they did best. A whole lot of nothing.

View from just outside our room toward the pool & beach. This is the Kinds Villa Bintang Resort in Nusa Dua. Or Billa Bintang if you are speaking to a taxi driver. :)

Our room is the door on the left and Jono and Cynthia are to the right. Shan, Colleen, Ray & Estelle were abit further up the path to the right.

Some of the nice flowers at the resort.

 Me & J.

 Colleen

J & Jono found their dream shop. And thought they could both be bikies. :)

One afternoon we went for a drink to Crusoe's Island. the atmosphere was really cool. And just to the right of this photo was a GIGIANTIC fan! nice touch to a warm day.

Ok. Where do I start? This is the expression Ray gets when he really likes what he is eating. :)

Hanging out at our favourite dinner place . The SECRET GARDEN on Poppies lane. Live band, good food, great company, what more could you want. (Minus the biting ants. A memory that will long live on with Colleen and myself, and also the band tribute from Shan by Pearl Jam!)

  Pool view at our resort.

  Another flower

On Friday night the soccer started. The locals really get into it. This was the Mini Mart next to our hotel. There is a big screen with the soccer on there and a whole lot of locals came to watch.

Four girls from different backgrounds. All with different stories. Each one holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for an awesome time!

Bali took up two weeks of blogging time. But two weeks which were thoroughly enjoyed!

To fill in the rest of the time I ...

Celebrated Greg & Lianas engagement party, and gave departing hugs as they leave for Canada.
Sorted out Jasons business insurance and am getting ready for end of financial year.
Have been cleaning up the office and filing cabinet. And have been frequenting the gym at least four times a week. Playing netball Thursday nights and soccer on Saturday.

I have been guilty of watching a few dvds in amongst there as well. Highly recommend My Sisters Keeper for those who haven't seen it. And Dear John is good too. Really good if you feel like having a sappy girls day or just feel like crying.

And for now I think that is the most of it!

Hope you enjoyed the catch up and I will endeavour to be more frequent.

Love Hailz  xxx
