Mr Kingfisher

A poor little kingfisher decided to bump into my "not so clean" windows, just a minute ago.
It was a stunning bird. :) that was quite stunned by the bang into the window.
By the time I got my camera out he had recovered and flew away.
This is what he looked like.

180

I had seen this posted up on facebook and was like yeah, ok,
another one of those videos thats going around.
Then today I recieved an email from my Dad.
So I thought well it must be something kind of important if my Dad thinks I should see it.
So I clicked the button.
Then started probably the most interesting,
enlightening and moving 30 minute footage I have ever seen.
In short it is about abortion.
The title will make sense if you just watch the clip.
Please take the time to watch this.
No matter who you are or where you are.
Please watch.

"For you formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother's womb,
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made ..
And in Your book they all are written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none."
Psalm 139: 13, 14A & 16B

7 months

Cohen is now 7 months

The past 7 months have flown by but I have loved every minute of it.

He is now rolling around everywhere. Loves his food and his sleep (much like his daddy)
He is always happy and is content to play on his mat with his toys.
He is on 2 solid meals a day. Lunch and dinner.
He is also still breast fed four times a day.
Still no more teeth popping out.
At the moment his favourite things to do are
Suck his bottom lip
Blow raspberries
Babble
Push himself up with his arms.
Roll and roll and roll and roll. (he pretty much makes it from one side of the room to the other.)
Giggle and laugh.

He is never short of a smile.

It's hard to explain the joy and love a child brings to your heart and home.

My heart still aches as I remember our journey and when I think about all the people who struggle with this still today. And I don't ever think I will forget that ache.
Sometimes I look at Cohen and just cry knowing how blessed we are!

I pray that God will bless all those who would love to have children of their own. I pray that He will surround them with His love and His care and make their hearts not ache anymore.

I pray that God will bless all parents who have children.
I pray that these parents cherish their children and love them unconditionally.
I pray that all parents pray!
Pray that we can love our children the way God loves us!

6 months

I can't believe its been 6 months already.
It's amazing how before they arrive it's hard to imagine what life will be like when you have a baby.
Someone who is higly dependant on his mum and dad to complete his every need.
And now Cohen is 6 months old it is hard to remember what life was like before he was around.
We are so blessed and are so thankful to have him in our lives.
His 6 month saw him delve into a variety of foods mainly MEAT.
He now eats a variety of beef, chicken & fish with vegies and fruit for dessert.
He has also learned that he can get water out of his cup if he sucks it. He thinks he is pretty clever when he does this. Hasn't got the swallowing 100% down-pat yet though. :)
We are very blessed to have a good eater and a good sleeper.
Cohen now sleeps in his bed during the day usually about 2 hours morning and afternoon and then 11 hours at night. He goes down awake and actually loves his bed now. :)

5 months

This month saw Cohen get his two bottom teeth (actually he was 41/2 months)
He also ventured into a variety of fruits for lunch and dinner. Strawberries being a huge favourite.
He still trys to roll but now gets upset when he gets on his tummy because he doesn't know how to get back :)
He has also very easily transitioned to a 4 hour routine.
One thing he still needs to learn however is to sleep in his bed during the day. At night he sleeps through from 730pm to 7am but during the day he loves his cuddles with mum.
(not that I am complaining)
He has discovered his hands and feet and loves to put them in his mouth or just stare at them.
He continues to grow and change every day, and is a constant source of entertainment with his little giggles and his continuous chatting.

4 months

Cohen @ 4 months

Started solids
Which for the first month consisted of pumpkin, carrot, potato & sweet potato.

I also introduced him to the infamous "sippy cup".
At the moment he thinks it is more of a chew toy, he loves to hold it himself and put it in his mouth.
He also had his 4 months needles which he handled better then I did :)
He is attmepting to roll over with the occasionally success.
He continues to grow and amaze us everyday.

Too long

Hi, welcome to my blog.

It seems like it has been so long that I feel I need to reintroduce my self to you all.
:) not really.

However I am happy to say that since my last post we are accompanied by a very happy
7 1/2 month old. (yes it has been that long since my last post)

Upcoming will be some brief updates about what has been happening in the last 4 months.
