Y ... Yummy

Y is for Yummy

At the moment I LOVVVVEEE Nandos.

My favourite sauce to use at home is the garlic peri peri (as seen below) and the perinaise is like mayo but with chilli in it.

I never used to like spice but mmmmmmm ... this is soo good.

Also at the moment becasue we have club on Tuesday nights we have made that our Nandos night.

So so so soooo good.

I do advise you try. There is also a none spicy sauce they do "Lemon & Herb" but the Mild flavour is the best!

Well I hope I haven't made you too hungry. :)

Enjoy!

W ... Wedding

W is for Wedding.

I kinda cheated ont his one and went back through my archive of photos and found some of a wedding I shot in October 2008.

Everybody meet Dave & Heather Steenhof. They are two of the most beautiful people I know. They are genuine, honest, loving and funny. I am very blessed that I have both of you in my life.

Last week on 23rd February they were blessed with a little baby daughter. As yet I have not been privileged to meet little Erica Grace, which means I haven't got any snaps yet either, but I know for sure that both Dave and Heather are very proud parents and I know that you will do a fantastic job in raising your little princess :)

U ... Underwear

U is for Underware AKA Undies.

Everybody has them, everybody wears them (well most people wear them) but isn't it funny that anyone can wear a bikini top and bottom and noone thinks twice but if it is undies and a bra WELL then that is a different story. I don't quite understand what the difference is, if anything bikins are more exposing then bras and undies. I don't judge anyone who wears a bikini, but it does make you wonder where to draw the line in modesty. And why the need for a bikini really? White is the new brown apparently . Tanning is not good for the skin and can possibly lead to skin cancer. These are unfortunately the facts. Think of this what you will.

As for undies, I found these on special at Target last week and I absolutely LOVE the colours.

Enjoy

N ... Noah

N is for Noah

Noah is my oldest nephew. He was born in 2005. He was the first nephew, the first granchild etc.
Now he is four and all grown up.
I like to think he still relys on his aunty for some things.
Even though he is all tough and big, I can still find that ticklish spot and I can ALWAYS make him laugh when he is "trying" to be mad!
My favourite thing at the moment is when he gets angry he goes to his room and says "I just need to think about somefing and its too noisy out there"

My little boy has turned into a little man. Before I know it I'll just be the annoying aunty who buys him embrassing things, has no fashion sense, and is completely out of date when it comes to gadgets and the like. I am sure he will soon know how to use a computer better then I do. He already uses one at kindy!

Love you little man!

L ... Leg

L is for leg.

On the 4th of December 2009 my husband, Jason, broke his leg in a wakeboarding accident. He had to have an operation to put a metal plate in his leg which runs from his knee to his ankle with about 10 screws in it or something.
He has been hobbling around on crutches for awhile but got rid of them on Jan 27th.
He is now walking with a bit of a limp but the doctors are amazed at how well he is recovering and are very happy with his progress. He did however get a removable cast on 24th of Dec which was a blessing in disguise. This meant that he could go swimming and have showers a lot easier etc.
God works in wonderful ways!
We have struggled a bit during this time as Jason works for himself and income was kind of low. As well as being over Christmas it made for interesting traveling etc. But we had a lot of support from family and friends and also learnt to strongly rely on God and His promises and we have come out on the better side.
Below is a picture of his break. The big bone has a spiral fracture and the smaller bone was shattered and then shoved together.
(I will try to post updates of his new xrays with the metal plate etc)

I .. is for iceblocks.

I must admit that "I" was kinda a hard one.
Doing this photo challenge actually makes me think about stuff, usually in my own house, that start with different letters.
Anyways I decided to have a bit of a play with some ice and food colouring to make it abit more interesting.
Enjoy.
