Time flies ...

Wow it has been awhile since I last blogged.

The past couple of weeks have been quite busy.

It was my birthday on the 23rd April which basically took up the whole weekend believe it or not.
Friday I got my hair done, Friday night a few friends came over, Saturday I had soccer, Saturday night we went to dinner with Shan & Colleen, Ray & Estelle & Jono & Cynthia to celebrate all of our birthdays. It is actually quite special. We all have become friends over the past few years and it just so happens that all of the girls birthdays fall within 1 week of each other. Mine being 23rd April, Cynthia 27th April, Estelle 28th April and Colleen 1st May. How AMAZING is that! Anyways we went out for dinner and had an awesome time. Then Sunday we had church and Sunday night all the family came over. All in all it was a BUSY but AWESOME weekend!

Here are a few pics of the pressies I got.

An awesome Pandora bracelet from J, he also got me all the middle beads. The outside green bead is from Owen & Bronya (furthest right), the love heart and spacer bead (left on screen) from Murray & Alyssa and the beetle and spacer (right of screen) from my Mum & Dad. Thank you so much! I love it!

My new best friend (well not really but I do love him alot)
A mini polaroid camera which prints out credit card size photos! INSTANTLY! Its amazing!
This was also from Jason and arrived in the mail the day of my birthday.

Some baking books and also a book which explains ways in which to capture the moment!

 A candle holder

Along with these there is a voucher for a massage, a scarf, some white wooden signs which say HOME & FAMILY, more candles and loads more. Thank you very much!

Ok ... between now and then I have also been busy on some things. I have been taking some shots of buildings for websites which is quite interesting. Is totally different. You have to pick your time a bit more as for shadows and things but apart from that it is pretty straight forward. The buildings don't move and you don't have to make them smile either.

I have also had the chance to go shopping with Alyssa. On Friday night we went into Perth for a little girl time.
Here is a little story to share.
As we were walking into Myer I saw this girl walk out with a pair of what I thought were shoes in a box. I only caught a quick glimpse but from what I saw ... I really liked. Now how to explain how to find a pair of shoes in Perth when you only have a couple hours of shopping, as well as Lys didnt see them so i had to try and explain what they looked like. Not only that but I had convinced myself that they were probably about $300 and I woudlnt get them anyway. None the less I still had it in my mind to find them and check them out. So we continued shopping. Went to couple of shoe shops (didn't want to seem like I was too desperate to find these shoes) and eventually headed back to Myers. We walked into the shoe section and low and behold there they were. A beautiful shoe with a stringy bobble on the top which sort of looked like a rainbow flower. Very hard to explain! Actually to be honest Lys saw them first and said "are these?" YES! THEY are the ones!
I was quite excited to find them. Not only to find them but to find out that they were in fact SLIPPERS! cute cosy little slippers! AND more then that they were only 20 bucks! Well I was sold. I had a gift card from Myer from my credit card and so all in all after convincing myself that I would never have these shoes that were worth $300 I picked up a cute pair of slippers fro 95c.   :)  Behold ... my slippers!

I have also been going to the gym about four times a week. Playing soccer on Saturdays and usually netball on Thursday nights (if the other team doesn't forfeit) I have a new trainer. A female this time. First time I have had a female personal trainer. I thought it would be a bit weird and that she wouldn't push me as hard as a guy! I was sooo wrong. Man I was sore after last week. She is a really good trainer and knows what she is talking about!

This past week I have been sick with the flu. Has given me a chance to catch up on abit of sleep and chillax time!

Today is Ascension day! Let us remember the price that Jesus paid for us. And let us now also remember that He has ascended into Heaven to sit at the Fathers right hand and to intercede for us sinners. His chosen ones!

"Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into Heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. AMEN." Luke 24:51-53
